History

Tri-Cities Prep is the only Catholic high school in the Tri-Cities area. Prep was incorporated in 1994 as “A Catholic High School Under the Patronage of St. Thomas Aquinas” and received the approval of the bishops of both the Spokane and Yakima Diocese.

With the guidance of Jesuits throughout Washington State, along with the tireless efforts of many in our community, Tri-Cities Prep was able to welcome its first class of twenty students in August of 1998.  The Ignatian roots of our school are reflected in our mission and guiding documents.  Tri-Cities Prep is an independent school owned and governed by a board of directors and is fully approved by the State of Washington and the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Prep is located centrally in the Tri-Cities area off of Road 100 in west Pasco, just south of Interstate 182. The buildings and playing fields of the campus occupy 11-acres of a 23-acre site. The remainder of the property is reserved as a natural habitat and will serve as a future athletic/activity fields.

For nearly twenty years, Tri-Cities Prep has offered challenging academics within an environment that provides care for the whole student.  Our aim is to form women and men of character, competence, and compassion who are prepared to lead humbly and to serve generously.
